Tim Ross (2001) is a German visual artist working with photography and video. In his work he examines themes such as visual representations of war, the German past and fears of a violent future. By engaging with public archives like social media and news broadcasts he questions the photographic medium and the ways images are disseminated, consumed and perceived. Through extensive contextual and visual research he creates process based projects encouraging the audience to question the subjectivity of the present leading into an uncertain, shared future.
